Torsion Construction, under the leadership of Ed Wootton, has announced two new senior appointments. It follows a record number of new project appointments for Torsion during the last few months.

To support business expansion and improvements, and to ensure continued strong delivery of secured schemes, Richard Potts and Priesh Soni have been appointed as new Regional Directors for North and Midlands, respectively.

Richard joins Torsion Construction with over 30 years of industry experience, having served most recently as an Area Director with Morgan Sindall Construction. He has a proven track record of delivering projects in the residential, commercial, leisure, health, education and blue light sectors. As Regional Director for the North, this will be highly relevant to the business during these next period of growth.

Priesh has worked at Torsion Construction as a Commercial Manager and a Commercial Director, where he has significantly contributed to the success of many projects. As Regional Director for the Midlands region, Priesh will be instrumental in driving growth and success through strong delivery and client satisfaction. He brings over 15 years of experience and expertise in project management, business development, leadership and strategic planning.

“We are delighted to welcome Richard and Priesh to their new roles as Regional Director. Their wealth of experience, combined with their deep understanding of the industry, will be invaluable to our company as we continue to drive business growth and exceptional value to our clients.”

Ed Wootton, Managing Director at Torsion Construction

Torsion Construction is on track to deliver its strategic growth plans implemented with Ed’s appointment as Managing Director in 2023.

Torsion has experienced significant growth, which has seen it become a broader business in terms of geographic spread (expanding operations in the Northwest), its strengthened market presence in core market sectors (PBSA, Senior Living, Homes and Residential), and has seen an increase in the average size of projects to £54m.

“The successful implementation of our business improvement plans under Ed’s Leadership has allowed us to focus on securing a record order book in line with continued business growth. I am delighted to support our construction business moving to a regional delivery model, and the appointments of Priesh and Richard are another step towards our long-term vision for the Torsion Group of companies.

“With a construction career spanning over 35 years, Ed has brought the business refreshed energy, clear direction and strong leadership.”
