University Living acquires 51% in UK’s StudentTenant

International student housing managed marketplace – University Living – recently acquired 51% of StudentTenant, an established entity specialising in purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) in the UK.

The strategic move aims to strengthen University Living’s presence in the UK’s PBSA market and enhance its services for students worldwide.

University Living currently offers two million beds across over 515 student-centric cities spanning the UK, Ireland, Australia, Europe, USA and Canada, as well as other prominent countries in the world.

StudentTenant brings over a decade of specialised experience in the private rental sector (PRS)/HMO sector, led by industry experts Adam Ormesher and Karl McKenzie.

This acquisition strengthens University Living’s portfolio by over 10,000 beds, 500,000 students, and 1,000 landlords and letting agents in the UK.

Geographically, the strategic move bolsters University Living’s reach across key UK regions, especially in the Northwest & Northeast – including Sheffield, York, Durham and Newcastle. The headquarters in Canterbury also enhances their presence in cities such as Luton, Northampton and Hatfield.
