
JLL has been appointed as adviser on the sale of Fusion Group’s purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) portfolio. Four prime assets located in Birmingham (622 beds), Loughborough (541 beds), Glasgow (619 beds), and Cardiff (706 beds), make up the portfolio.
Fusion’s Birmingham site on Bristol Road and the Loughborough site on Limehurst Avenue are expected to open in 2027.

The portfolio is characterised by its prime locations, high-quality amenities and strong ESG credentials. All assets are targeting BREEAM Excellent ratings, showcasing their high environmental performance.
The properties will feature amenities including fitness centres, communal study spaces, social hubs, and outdoor recreational areas.

This news follows Fusion Group’s four recent senior appointments. Existing board member, Paul Miles has been appointed as Group Construction Director, Julian Evans has been promoted and added to the board, while Fusion has also named two external advisors – Marcus Sperber, BlackRock’s former Managing Director and Head of Global Real Estate and Mishcon de Reya’s former Head of Real Estate, Nick Doffman.
