Host Student Housing has announced the appointment of Lucy Treasure-Broughton as Marketing Director. This newly created role completes its executive team following a two-year strategic restructure, firmly positioning the business for its next phase of growth in the third-party purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) management sector.
Joining from Fresh, Lucy brings over seven years of experience delivering high-impact B2B and B2C multi-channel campaigns across more than 60 assets in the UK and Ireland across PBSA, Build to Rent and Co-living. Her deep expertise in brand strategy, marketing optimisation, and customer engagement will play a central role in expanding Host’s portfolio and service delivery across both student accommodation and the wider living sector.
In her new role, Lucy will lead the development and execution of Host’s brand and marketing strategy – driving value for clients, enhancing investor confidence, and further elevating the resident experience.
“Lucy’s appointment marks the final piece in the leadership restructure we set out two years ago, and it comes at a pivotal time for Host. Her insight, creativity, and sector knowledge will be key as we grow our platform, diversify our offer, and continue raising standards across the industry. I’m looking forward to seeing the impact she will make, especially as we prepare to launch our first Habito co-living site this summer.”
John Nesbitt, Managing Director, Host
Lucy’s appointment follows a series of high-profile hires that have strengthened Host’s leadership platform, led by Director of Operations, Sam Hollex. Recent appointments include Rebecca Williams as Business Development Director (formerly Homes for Students/CRM), Commercial Director Chris McIlhinney (formerly CA Ventures/Novel Student), and Head of IT Darren Prosser (formerly Student Roost).
“Host is a business with real momentum – ambitious, values-led, and focused on delivering more for its partners and residents. The opportunity to shape how the brand grows and connects across the student and co-living spaces is a challenge I’m excited to take on.
“With such a strong foundation already in place, I’m looking forward to building on that success and helping lead Host into its next phase of growth.”
