The first complete image of Bristol’s Temple Quarter transformation has been revealed, showing what Cubex’s 22-storey purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development on Albert Road in Bristol will look like once it is surrounded by all the other buildings yet to be built in the area.

The image shows the scale of the transformation ahead for the whole Temple Quarter area and reveals the scale of the vast changes coming to this part of Bristol.

Cubex’s proposed PBSA development – the darker brown and black front building to the left – will deliver homes for 531 students and is set to receive a planning decision this week.

To the right of Cubex’s development is another four building PBSA scheme which secured planning permission in June 2024 to deliver 454 beds alongside 1,067sqm of affordable commercial space.

“We are pleased that our proposed Temple Reach development at Albert Road is being considered at committee, with a recommendation for approval from planning officers.

“This scheme represents a significant opportunity to help deliver the Bristol Avon Flood Strategy, alongside high-quality student accommodation, affordable workspace, active travel routes, and new public spaces that will support the regeneration of St Philip’s Marsh. With over 50% of the site dedicated to flood defence and public realm improvements, this project is designed to enhance both the environment and connectivity in the area.

“We look forward to making our case to the committee and we are committed to working with the council and local stakeholders to deliver a scheme that supports Bristol’s growth and resilience.”

Will Tomlinson, Development Director, Cubex

Located next to the River Avon near Bristol Temple Meads station, Cubex’s PBSA scheme is close to the University of Bristol’s £500M Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus.
