For four years Jack Rigby was at the helm of Vita Group’s comms, taking the business out of the shadows and championing Vita as an innovative industry leader in the purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), co-living and Built to Rent sectors.

Now, Jack has ventured out on his own, setting up The PR Barn with the mission to unleash brand potential through creative communications and will specialise in property. The PR Barn will play to Jack’s strengths, building engaged communities and brand advocates for the built environment and consumer brands, delivering strategic and creative communications.

The consultancy will offer a range of services including PR, events, social and brand development which promise to ignite new energy into the property market, getting people talking about businesses online, in person and in the media.

“It’s incredibly exciting to officially launch The PR Barn. We’ve already hit the ground running picking up business from clients old and new, helping to unleash their potential through creative communications.

“We look forward to building upon this, creating engaged communities of loyal brand advocates and bringing places to life for developers and operators in the commercial and residential space.”

Jack consulted across Mark Stott’s portfolio of brands and businesses including Stockport County Football Club, Vita Group, Vita Student, Union, Uhaus and DeliveryApp.

At Vita, Jack defined the Union co-living brand, launching it into the market through a dynamic brand and PR launch strategy, helping the scheme achieve occupancy ahead of schedule, firmly putting Union on the tip of people’s tongues when it came to Manchester’s rental market. And at the end of October, he did the same again for Vita’s new Built to Rent product – Uhaus.

Football fans may also recall his launch for Stockport County’s new fan-zone, which went viral with his ‘Christmas dinner in a cup campaign’ consuming football social feeds and grabbing headlines in the run up to Christmas.

Jack first started his career at Brazen PR back in 2009, and from there he moved to integrated advertising and communications agency BJL, now known as Dentsu.

Following that, he spent seven years at Carousel PR where he headed up a host of retail and property clients including intu Trafford Centre, Peel LLP, Savills and Martin Commercial properties – as well as a number of consumer brands such as Little Tikes, The Entertainer and Cotton Traders, picking up a raft of PR awards along the way including best use of media relations and best use of creativity.
